Yay! Mr Allison (our caretaker) has kindly helped Room 14 with drilling a hole into our plastic bottles - thank-you!
On Friday of last week we recycled old plastic bottles and turned them into pot plants. We decorated them with all sorts of different things, we had fun!
We then planted different seeds into the soil - we planted lettuce, radishes, parsley and spinach.
We have been so lucky with this beautiful weather, our plants are sure to grow now.

Room 14 has been learning an Elephant dance, and we are having lots of fun doing it! This is because each class in the Kiwi and Pukeko Teams are doing a little dance before the Lion King Production begins.
This is taking place over three days -
Afternoon performance: Tuesday September 20th
Evening performances: Wednesday 21st & Thursday September 2nd
In the next few weeks I will be needing a few parent helpers to help me make costumes. Please let me know if you would be interested in helping make some VERY SIMPLE costumes by emailing me at email@example.com

Maths in Rooms 13 & 14
Dear parents and caregivers,
This term Rooms 13 and 14 will be working together for Maths. Based on current testing and achievement, this will determine which class and which teacher your child will go to for term three. Throughout the term, your child will have the opportunity to work with both Miss Glen and Mrs van Zyl.
This style of teaching is part of our innovative learning model at Reremoana School. Both teachers will be planning collaboratively to ensure that teaching is targeted to the specific needs of our students.
- Your child will be working in either Room 13 or 14 during the first block each day.
- Your child’s Maths teacher will teach and assess their needs in Maths; however you are welcome to speak with either teacher to discuss your child’s progress.
- These groups are flexible and are likely to change as the term progresses.
- Regular basic facts home work will be sent home and tested in your child’s own classroom each Friday.
We are extremely excited to be working collaboratively in maths this term and we hope that our students are going to thoroughly enjoy this experience.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with either teacher.
Miss Glen & Mrs van Zyl
